This article explains how to configure the web monitoring feature.
The web monitoring feature can be configured from the Web Monitoring Config page.
About the web monitoring feature
In this feature, the FQDN specified in the WafCharm dashboard will be registered as a monitoring target. When detection of DNS fails, when links to malicious websites are included, or when HTTPS connection configuration includes deprecated or compromised settings, we will inform you at the email address registered for notifications.
For more information, please refer to the manual below.
Switch between the ON/OFF options on TLS Monitoring, DNS Monitoring, and Web Defacement Detection.
TLS Monitoring (weekly): Checks and detects the deprecated or compromised configurations by making an HTTPS connection to the FQDN.
DNS Monitoring (hourly): Checks if the name resolution can be completed properly and detects failures.
Web Defacement Detection (every 6 hours): Checks the content and detects when there are links to phishing websites.
Enter email addresses to send the notification to under the [Notification Email] field.
You can register up to 10 email addresses separated by a comma.
The email addresses registered in this configuration will only receive notifications about the web monitoring config. Other emails will not be sent to these email addresses.
Click [Save].
Limitations and Notes
One Web Monitoring Config can be registered for one FQDN. If you want to monitor multiple FQDNs, please add a config for each FQDN.
You can register up to 20 Web Monitoring Configs per account.
If you want to change the value of the FQDN field, please re-register a config. Make sure to delete unnecessary Web Monitoring Config.
